MediaStorm Methodology Workshop

The MediaStorm methodology workshop is tailored to educators who are interested in incorporating MediaStorm technique into their curriculum, organizational leaders who are responsible for multimedia departments and business professionals who are interested in starting their own multimedia company that integrates MediaStorm approach.  Learn effective methodology from the MediaStorm staff, who has extensive experience both on the field and in post-production.  The workshop will also include collaborative discussion and critique on effective multimedia business and educational  models.

What You Will Learn

Essential Multimedia Skills

  • Distilling the bells and whistles down to what you really need to know.
  • Prioritizing skill sets
  • Optimizing work flow

Interactive Graphics

  • Fundamentals of web design and interactivity
  • Creating appropriate graphic packages for cinematic narratives

Putting the Package Together

  • Efficient and appropriate ways to showcase your work on the web
  • Encoding and distribution for various platforms

Business Model

  • Syndication models
  • Funding projects
  • Understanding the costs and time investments required
  • Getting others onboard - the politics of working with other departments to build a successful multimedia program

When and Where

The next available workshop is August 12 through August 16, 2013.  Apply by July 12, 2013.  The following workshop will be held December 9 through December 13, 2013.  Applications are due by November 8, 2013.

Admission and Fees

Tuition for selected participants is $2500.  Attendees will be responsible for their own room and board.
