Triggertrap triggers your shutter release using your smartphone, and the price is hard to pass up considering everything that is packed into this little jewel. Honestly it does way more than simply triggering your camera release.
I own this and used it during the last PhotoTips Cruise for recording time lapse videos. It is very cool and is feature packed for all sorts of shooting. Here is some of the cool features.

Now there are a couple of accessories you may want to add to it depending on your shooting style. If you are doing time laps and wanting to walk away from you camera and not sit there holding the thing, you might want to add this, and this as well. It allows you to mount the thing on top of your camera so it's not laying on the ground. It's cheap, but serves the function well.
